The Spirit of Revival (2)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Monday, 27 October 2025

Topic: The Spirit of Revival (2)

Focus: When the Fire Goes Out

🔥 Message:

The Spirit of Revival awakens what has grown cold, restores what has been lost, and breathes life into dry bones. Revival is not a one-time event—it’s a continual awakening of hearts to the reality of God’s presence. When the Spirit of Revival moves, complacency is shattered, hunger is rekindled, and holiness becomes beautiful again.

Habakkuk prayed: “Lord, I have heard of Your fame; I stand in awe of Your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.”
—Habakkuk 3:2

Revival begins not in crowds, but in hearts. It starts when believers bow low before God, repent of self-sufficiency, and cry out for His presence to fill their lives again. So, beloved, this devotional series will stir your heart to hunger for more of God, rebuild your personal altar, and align you with Heaven’s heartbeat for renewal and awakening.

📖 Key Verse:

Habakkuk 3:2 (NIV): “Lord, I have heard of Your fame; I stand in awe of Your deeds, Lord. Repeat them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.”

Devotional:
Every believer is called to burn for God, but even the strongest flames can fade when altars are neglected. Revival is Heaven’s way of rekindling what once burned brightly but has grown dim. Leviticus 6:13 commands: “The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out.”

When the fire goes out, passion turns into routine, prayer into obligation, and worship into performance. You may still go through the motions, but the glow of intimacy is gone. That’s why the Spirit of Revival comes—to restore your first love and relight your altar. Elijah experienced this on Mount Carmel. The altar of the Lord was broken down, and Israel’s hearts had turned away. But when Elijah rebuilt the altar and called upon the Lord, fire fell from Heaven (1 Kings 18:30–39).

📖 Scripture Reading:
Leviticus 6:13 – The fire must never go out.
1 Kings 18:30–39 – Fire falls on the restored altar.
Revelation 2:4–5 – Return to your first love.

💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Beloved, revival is always preceded by restoration—of the altar, of obedience, and of passion. If the fire has gone out in your life, God doesn’t condemn you—He invites you to rebuild. The same God who lit the fire once can light it again. So, revival begins when you return to the altar and invite the fire again. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:
🔥 You can’t live on yesterday’s fire—fresh surrender brings fresh flame.

🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ Take time today to “rebuild your altar.” Pray, worship, repent, and invite God to reignite the passion you once had.

🙏 Prayer:
Lord, forgive me for letting the fire fade. Restore the altar of my heart and rekindle the flame of love, passion, and purity within me. Let me burn again for You. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
My fire will not go out! The Spirit of Revival ignites my altar again, and my heart burns with holy passion for the Lord. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
