The Spirit of Might (4)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Wednesday, 8 October 2025
Topic: The Spirit of Might (4)
Focus: Courage to Obey
🔥 Message:
The Spirit of Might empowers believers to do what human strength cannot accomplish. It is the power of God at work within you—enabling you to overcome weakness, conquer fear, and fulfill divine purpose. Isaiah 11:2 says: “The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him—the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might…”
Beloved, when the Spirit of Might rests upon you, ordinary limitations are broken. Samson tore down the gates of a city, David slew a giant, and Jesus, filled with the Spirit, healed the sick and raised the dead. This same Spirit dwells in every believer today, giving strength for obedience, endurance in trials, and power for victorious living. So, over the next seven days, this devotional will awaken you to the divine strength that flows from the Spirit of Might—so you can rise above weariness and walk boldly in God’s power.
📖 Key Verse:
Zechariah 4:6 (NIV): “‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.”
Devotional:
Obedience often requires courage. Sometimes, God’s instructions won’t make sense to your mind or fit the comfort of your plans. That’s where the Spirit of Might steps in—giving you boldness to obey even when it’s difficult. Joshua 1:9 declares: “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Before Joshua could lead Israel into the Promised Land, he needed more than strategy—he needed strength to obey. Obedience to God’s voice often confronts fear, doubt, or opposition. Yet, when you yield to the Spirit of Might, courage rises within you to do what God says, no matter the cost.
📖 Scripture Reading:
Joshua 1:9 – Be strong and courageous.
Genesis 12:1–4 – Abraham obeyed God’s call by faith.
Matthew 14:29 – Peter stepped out of the boat.
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Peter needed courage to step out of the boat. Abraham needed courage to leave his homeland. Mary needed courage to say “Be it unto me according to Your word.” Every act of obedience requires a dose of divine might. So,beloved, when you are afraid to move forward, remember: courage doesn’t mean the absence of fear—it means trusting God despite it. Courage is not the absence of fear—it’s obedience in faith. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🔥 The Spirit of Might empowers you to obey God when logic says no.
🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ Ask the Holy Spirit today: “What step of obedience am I delaying because of fear?” Then move forward in faith.
