The Spirit of Counsel (7)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Saturday, 4 October 2025
Topic: The Spirit of Counsel (7)
Focus: Walking Daily in the Counsel of the Lord
🔥 Message:
Life is full of decisions—some small, others destiny-defining. Human reasoning can only take you so far, but the Spirit of Counsel provides divine guidance that never fails. Counsel is more than advice; it is Heaven’s direction, given by the Spirit, that leads you into the path of God’s will. Psalm 16:7 declares: “I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel; my heart also instructs me in the night seasons.”
The Spirit of Counsel does not just answer questions—it aligns your heart with God’s wisdom, provides clarity in confusion, and gives peace in direction. He teaches you how to walk, when to wait, and where to go. This devotional series will help you learn how to recognize, receive, and walk in the counsel of God, so that your life decisions align with Heaven’s design.
📖 Key Verse:
Psalm 16:7 (NKJV): “I will bless the Lord who has given me counsel; my heart also instructs me in the night seasons.”
Devotional:
The Spirit of Counsel is not only for life’s big decisions—it’s for everyday living. When you learn to walk daily in His guidance, every step becomes purposeful, every choice aligned, and every path illuminated by His wisdom. Psalm 32:8 declares: “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” To walk daily in the Lord’s counsel means to live with constant awareness of His presence. It’s allowing the Holy Spirit to whisper direction before you move, correction when you drift, and confirmation when you obey.
📖 Scripture Reading:
Psalm 32:8 – God promises to counsel and guide you.
Genesis 5:24 – Enoch walked with God.
John 5:19 – Jesus followed the Father’s counsel in all things.
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Enoch walked with God and did not see death (Genesis 5:24). David sought God before every battle. Jesus said, “The Son can do nothing by Himself; He does only what He sees His Father doing” (John 5:19). Each of them modeled a life led by divine counsel, not human impulse. So, beloved, when you make walking in His counsel your daily rhythm, confusion fades, peace reigns, and destiny unfolds step by step. Divine counsel isn’t a one-time event—it’s a lifelong walk. Stay Refreshed!
