The Sound of My Cry (7)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Saturday, 15 August 2025

Topic: The Sound of My Cry (7)

Focus: The Cry That God Remembers

🔥 Message:

There is a kind of prayer that goes beyond words, beyond form, beyond ritual. It’s the deep groan of the heart, the yearning of the soul, the melody of desperation and devotion that rises to the throne of God. This is the sound Heaven cannot ignore—the sound of a child crying out to their Father. Like Hannah in the temple (1 Samuel 1:15), like David in the wilderness (Psalm 61:1–2), and like Jesus in Gethsemane (Luke 22:44), there are moments when prayer is no longer a duty—it’s an overflow of longing, pain, hope, and love.

This series will take you on a 7-day journey to rediscover raw, unfiltered prayer—a prayer that comes from the depths and touches Heaven’s heart.

📖 Key Verse:

Psalm 61:1–2 (NIV) — “Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call to You, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”

Devotional:
God never forgets the cry of His children. Some cries may seem unanswered for a season, but in His perfect timing, He remembers—and when God remembers, destinies shift. Hannah prayed year after year for a child, pouring out her soul before the Lord. For a long time, nothing seemed to change. But Scripture says: “And the Lord remembered her.” —1 Samuel 1:19 That remembrance gave birth to Samuel, a prophet who shaped the destiny of a nation.

📖 Scripture Reading:
1 Samuel 1:19 – “The Lord remembered her.”
Exodus 2:24 – God remembers His covenant.
Isaiah 49:15–16 – God cannot forget His children.

💧 Refreshing for the Day:
The Israelites also groaned under slavery in Egypt, and God’s Word says: “God heard their groaning, and He remembered His covenant…” (Exodus 2:24). Your cry may feel hidden, delayed, or overlooked—but Heaven has recorded it. Every tear, every groan, every whisper in prayer is kept before the throne. And at the appointed time, God will act, and your story will turn. God remembers your cry. Delay is not denial—it’s preparation for glory. StRefreshed!

Note This:
Heaven’s remembrance is the turning point of destiny.

🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ Write down one prayer you’ve been crying out for. Instead of despairing, thank God daily that He remembers you and His covenant promises.

🙏 Prayer:
Lord, I trust that none of my cries are forgotten before You. Thank You for remembering me. Let Your timing release my breakthrough and fulfill every promise. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
My cry is remembered in Heaven! God’s appointed time is here, and my testimony will speak loudly of His faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

📖 Bible Texts:

Psalm 61:1-2, 1 Samuel 1:19, Exodus 2:24, Isaiah 49:15–16
