The Sound of My Cry (6)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Friday, 15 August 2025
Topic: The Sound of My Cry (6)
Focus: The Cry That Brings Deliverance
🔥 Message:
There is a kind of prayer that goes beyond words, beyond form, beyond ritual. It’s the deep groan of the heart, the yearning of the soul, the melody of desperation and devotion that rises to the throne of God. This is the sound Heaven cannot ignore—the sound of a child crying out to their Father. Like Hannah in the temple (1 Samuel 1:15), like David in the wilderness (Psalm 61:1–2), and like Jesus in Gethsemane (Luke 22:44), there are moments when prayer is no longer a duty—it’s an overflow of longing, pain, hope, and love.
This series will take you on a 7-day journey to rediscover raw, unfiltered prayer—a prayer that comes from the depths and touches Heaven’s heart.
📖 Key Verse:
Psalm 61:1–2 (NIV) — “Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call to You, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”
Devotional:
All throughout Scripture, God responds to the cries of His people with deliverance. Your cry is not just a plea—it’s a weapon that calls the Deliverer into your situation. Psalm 34:6 declares: “This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.” Israel’s freedom from Egypt began with a collective cry (Exodus 3:7–8). God said, “I have indeed seen the misery of My people… I have heard them crying out… So I have come down to rescue them.”
📖 Scripture Reading:
Psalm 34:6 – “This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him…”
Exodus 3:7–8 – God hears Israel’s cry and comes to deliver.
Matthew 14:30–31 – Peter cries out, “Lord, save me!”
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Beloved, the enemy hopes you will stay silent in your struggle, but deliverance begins when you lift your voice. Your cry is proof that you know where your help comes from. When Peter began to sink in the water, his simple cry—“Lord, save me!”—brought immediate rescue. So, you don’t need perfect words; you need a surrendered heart and a desperate call to the One who can save. Your cry invites the Deliverer into your battle. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
Deliverance is not for the silent—it’s for those who cry out.
🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ Whatever area you feel trapped in—fear, sin, oppression—cry out to God today specifically for deliverance and expect Him to answer.
🙏 Prayer:
Lord, I cry out to You today. You are my Deliverer and my Defender. Come into my situation and set me free from everything that binds me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
My cry is summoning Heaven’s rescue! I will see the Lord’s deliverance and walk in freedom. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
