The Sound of My Cry (3)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Tuesday, 12 August 2025
Topic: The Sound of My Cry (3)
Focus: The Cry That Moves Heaven
🔥 Message:
There is a kind of prayer that goes beyond words, beyond form, beyond ritual. It’s the deep groan of the heart, the yearning of the soul, the melody of desperation and devotion that rises to the throne of God. This is the sound Heaven cannot ignore—the sound of a child crying out to their Father. Like Hannah in the temple (1 Samuel 1:15), like David in the wilderness (Psalm 61:1–2), and like Jesus in Gethsemane (Luke 22:44), there are moments when prayer is no longer a duty—it’s an overflow of longing, pain, hope, and love.
This series will take you on a 7-day journey to rediscover raw, unfiltered prayer—a prayer that comes from the depths and touches Heaven’s heart.
📖 Key Verse:
Psalm 61:1–2 (NIV) — “Hear my cry, O God; listen to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I call to You, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”
Devotional:
There is a promise in Scripture that should fill every praying heart with courage:
“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; He delivers them from all their troubles.” —Psalm 34:17 When God’s children cry out, it is not just noise—it is a summons to Heaven’s courtroom. Your prayer doesn’t drift into the air; it reaches the throne of the King who rules over all. Israel’s deliverance from Egypt began with a cry (Exodus 2:23–25). God heard their groaning, remembered His covenant, looked upon them, and was concerned about them. One cry triggered a chain reaction of divine intervention.
📖 Scripture Reading:
Psalm 34:17 – “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears…”
Exodus 2:23–25 – God hears Israel’s groaning.
Isaiah 65:24 – “Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.”
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Beloved, your cry is not in vain. God is not distant or distracted—He is attentive, leaning in, ready to respond. You may not see the answer yet, but the moment you cry out in faith, Heaven has already begun to move. So, don’t underestimate the sound of your cry—it’s the key that unlocks divine rescue. When you cry out, Heaven bends low to listen. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
One cry in faith can shift years of bondage in a moment.
🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ Take 5 minutes to pray over an area where you’ve been waiting on God for a long time. Cry out again—this time with renewed faith that He hears and will act.
🙏 Prayer:
Lord, thank You that You hear the cry of the righteous. I bring my needs before You today, trusting that You are moving even now to deliver me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
My cry is heard in Heaven! God’s answer is on the way, and I will see His deliverance in my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
