It has been established that there will be moments of ‘tests’ in our lives where God uses circumstances to develop our character, especially in the areas that we need to grow. And until we pass the test, we may never get to the next level in life. So, now, let us sincerely explore the secrets to passing the tests, and learn how to apply them in our daily lives.
SCRIPTURE: “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. (Exodus 14:13 NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Beloved, the first secret to passing the test is to “Live above your circumstances, and never let them control you”. Ordinarily, in your usual self, you are a cool-headed person, a never want a trouble fellow, but when those circumstances happen to you, it stirs a strange feeling in you that would go on to provoke the uncelebrated character in you. So, you need to put a check to it.
When you let people and circumstances determine whether or not you’re going to stay in peace, you are handing them over your thermostat. You are letting them control your feelings and emotions. They said something rude to you, you get offended, they snap at you, you get soured. Please, do yourself a favor and take back your thermostat. Quit letting other people control your atmosphere and determine your mood. The truth is, you can’t control what they do, but you can control how you respond. So, when you live above your circumstances, and never them control you, you begin to pass the tests. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: When you let the people and the circumstances control your feelings and emotions, you’re handing them over your thermostat and giving them the power to control your life.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, do yourself a favor, take back your thermostat, and begin to live above your circumstances.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to live above every circumstance in my life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)
