THE SEASONS OF LIFE (3)

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

DATE: WEDNESDAY, 6 OCTOBER 2021

We all have what we need for the season that we live right now. This statement is true and holds sway. It’s never a sheer consolation nor a mere motivation, but it’s the fact of life. Too many of us allow what we think we don’t have to becloud our sense of gratitude to God for what we have. For Melody Beattie once said, “gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.”

SCRIPTURE: Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:18) NIV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Beloved, we worry about many things in life. We always find what or who to blame over what is not working in our lives, we think there’s a level we ought to be, but we’re not there right now. We often compare ourselves to others, we size and weigh what they have to what we have. But we forgot that everyone’s season and destiny are never the same.

But the key is gratitude. Be grateful to God in every season. Quit thinking about all the things that you don’t have, and be grateful to God for all the things you have. Don’t let what you don’t have makes you to be ungrateful. Stay Lifted!

NOTE THIS: Being grateful to God for what you have in the season you live right now, qualifies you and sets you up for more in the seasons to come.

RESPONSIBILITY: Be grateful to God in every season.

PRAYER: O LORD, I am very grateful for all I have in this season. I pray for more in the next seasons to come, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD: May the good Lord Who has blessed you in this season, continue to bless and favor you and yours forever, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!

BIBLE TEXTS: 1 Thess 5:18
