The Oil of the Secret Place (4)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Wednesday, 20 August 2025

Topic: The Oil of the Secret Place (4)

Focus: The Oil That Flows in Secret

🔥 Message:

The secret place is where the deepest intimacy with God is birthed. It is not found in the noise of the crowd, nor in the applause of men, but in the quiet corners where your heart meets His. In the secret place, roots grow deep, oil flows fresh, and strength is renewed. Jesus taught us that prayer is not a performance for others, but a personal encounter with the Father (Matthew 6:6). The secret place is not about location but posture—it is the hidden life of communion where Heaven pours oil into vessels that wait. This oil sustains you when the storms rage, empowers you when battles come, and prepares you for the Bridegroom’s arrival.

This series journey will take us back to the hidden place of prayer, teaching us to draw fresh oil for every season of life.

📖 Key Verse:

Matthew 6:6 (NIV) — “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

Devotional:
Oil is symbolic of the Holy Spirit’s presence, anointing, and empowerment. And this oil flows most richly in the secret place. In 2 Kings 4:2–6, the widow’s little jar of oil multiplied behind closed doors. It didn’t flow in the marketplace or the synagogue—it flowed in her house, in secret. The same principle applies today: the oil of God flows in hidden surrender before it manifests in public power. Many want the oil without the altar. But without the altar of intimacy, the oil dries up.

📖 Scripture Reading:
2 Kings 4:2–6 – The oil multiplied in secret.
Psalm 92:10 – “I have been anointed with fresh oil.”
Zechariah 4:6 – “Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit…”

💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Beloved, the secret place is where your vessel is filled, your spirit refreshed, and your lamp trimmed with fresh fire. It’s not about length of prayer but depth of encounter. Five minutes of raw, yielded prayer can fill you with more oil than hours of distracted words. Stay long enough in His presence until the oil begins to flow. Fresh oil is released in the hidden place of intimacy. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:
No secret place, no fresh oil.

🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ Ask God to pour fresh oil on your life today. Pray, “Lord, anoint me afresh for this season.”

🙏 Prayer:
Lord, let the oil of Your Spirit flow in me again. Fill my vessel in the secret place until my life overflows with Your anointing. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
Fresh oil is flowing in my life! I am empowered, anointed, and set apart. What I carry in secret will manifest in power publicly. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
