Focus: Bought in the Secret Place
🔥 Message:
In the parable of the ten virgins, all had lamps—but only five had extra oil. When the cry rang out, “The Bridegroom is coming!”, it wasn’t enough to just look ready. The wise were those who had cultivated a lifestyle of intimacy, preparation, and extra devotion.
This series is a call to live like the wise virgins. To go beyond surface-level faith and carry the secret oil of deep communion with Jesus.

Matthew 25:4 – “The wise took oil in jars along with their lamps.”
Devotional:
In the parable of the virgins, when the foolish realized their oil was running out, they turned to the wise and said, “Give us some of your oil!” But the wise answered, “No, go and buy some for yourselves.” (Matthew 25:8–9) This seems harsh—until you understand what the oil represents. Intimacy cannot be borrowed. It cannot be transferred. It must be bought in the secret place. There’s a cost to having oil—time, surrender, consistency, hunger.

💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Beloved, the oil you carry is formed when no one is watching. It’s birthed in the early morning prayers, the whispered worship, the tears on the altar, the moments you say “yes” when no one else sees. This oil is personal. You can’t borrow someone else’s pursuit. You must buy your own. So, God is inviting you to a private place of encounter—a place where the oil is pressed and the fire is lit. You cannot live off someone else’s pursuit. The oil must be personal. Stay Refreshed!

Intimacy costs—but what it produces is priceless.
🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ Choose one thing today that usually distracts you from prayer or time with God—and lay it aside. Trade it for oil. Spend time with Him instead.
🙏 Prayer:
Jesus, I want oil that is real and personal. Teach me to buy it in the secret place. I give You my time, my heart, my distractions. Press out the oil of intimacy in me, day by day. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I am buying oil! I refuse to borrow what God is calling me to cultivate. My life overflows with fresh oil birthed in the secret place—I walk in personal fire and deep devotion! Alleluia!
