It’s a mistake for us to go through life living in misery thinking we can’t be happy until we have all our needs met. That’s when you would see many Christians hanging unto “until my situation changes” mentality then would be joyful. But that’s not the lifestyle that works. The lifestyle that works is, we must at all times learn to be happy in the Lord, irrespective of our troubles and challenges. No wonder Nehemiah declared before Ezra the priest to the people of Judah, and He said to them,
SCRIPTURE: … This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10 NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Beloved, the truth is, the troubles of life never end, so, you don’t go on to kill yourself over one. God loves you and wants the best for you. Don’t allow the issues of life take away your joy and make you miserable. Love the life you live, develop a thankful attitude, and learn to be happy always in the Lord (Psm 37:4). Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: One sure way to always be happy in the Lord is to love God and share His love with others.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, make a determined decision to always be happy in the Lord and have a more thankful attitude in your day-to-day life.
PRAYER: O LORD, thank You for Your Word today. Give me the grace to always be happy in You, in Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)
PROPHETIC WORD: May the joy of the Lord come upon you and remain with you all the days of your life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
