THE LIFE OF CHRIST IN US (2)
TIMES OF REFRESHING DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: WEDNESDAY, 18 SEPTEMBER 2024
When the life of Christ is in us, we become carriers of hope in a dark world. Christ’s life within us offers hope in a world often filled with despair. People around us are facing challenges, losses, and uncertainties. As Christians, we are called to be carriers of the hope that comes from Christ. Because we have experienced His saving power and the peace that surpasses understanding, we can share that hope with others, even in the darkest circumstances.
SCRIPTURE: “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill can’t be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Our hope in Christ is contagious and draws others to seek the One who promises to never leave nor forsake us. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: It is easy to reflect Christ’s light when things are going well, but the true test is how brightly you shine in dark times.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, don’t dim the light of Christ in you; shine consistently, even in darkness.
PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to be the light of the world. Strengthen me to reflect Christ’s love and grace in every situation, especially in times of difficulty. Let my life be a living testimony of Your goodness and truth, drawing others to Your heart. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
PROPHETIC WORD: May the Lord help us to live in such a way that others can see the light of Christ through our words, actions, and character. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
BIBLE TEXTS: Matthew 5:14-16
