The Intercessor’s Burden (6)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Friday, 25 July 2025

Topic: The Intercessor’s Burden (6)

Focus: Praying Heaven to Earth

🔥 Message:

Heaven is looking for those who will carry its weight—those who will not just pray for change, but through it. True intercession is not convenient prayer; it is costly, consuming, and born from a heart aligned with God’s own. This devotional journey is a call to rise into the priestly place of intercession—a place where God shares His burden, His groan, and His vision for the earth. It’s not glamorous, but it’s glorious. Intercession is how heaven partners with earth to birth breakthrough.

So, beloved, if you’ve ever felt the weight of a generation, the ache for revival, or the longing to see lives transformed—this burden is for you.

📖 Key Verse:

Ezekiel 22:30 – “I looked for someone… to stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land…”

Devotional:
The greatest goal of intercession is not just to talk to God—it is to bring heaven’s reality into earthly situations. When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He said: “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” (Matthew 6:10) This is the intercessor’s mission: to be a bridge between what is and what should be. To stand in prayer until sickness bows, until salvation breaks forth, until families are restored, until revival ignites. So, beloved, you are not just praying for comfort—you are praying for alignment.

📖 Scripture Reading:
Matthew 6:10 – “On earth as it is in heaven…”
James 5:16 – “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”
1 John 5:14–15 – “If we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.”

💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Jesus never prayed wishfully. He prayed from authority. He declared what the Father wanted and expected it to manifest. As His body, we are called to do the same. Intercession pulls the unseen into the seen. Heaven is not far away—it is at hand. And intercessors are the hands that bring it close. Intercession is not begging—it’s partnering with heaven to manifest God’s will. Stay Refreshed!

Note This:
Intercessors don’t just react to earth—they respond to heaven.

🛡️ Responsibility:
✅ Identify one area where things are not aligned with God’s Word (e.g., your health, family, community). Pray today with boldness: “Let Your kingdom come here!” Declare heaven’s will.

🙏 Prayer:
Father, let Your kingdom come and Your will be done in my life, my family, and my generation. I align with heaven. Use my prayers as a channel for breakthrough. Let earth look more like heaven because I prayed. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I bring heaven to earth! My prayers are arrows of alignment. What I bind is bound, what I loose is loosed. I pray with boldness, and heaven moves in response. The kingdom is at hand—and I help usher it in! Alleluia!

📖 Bible Texts:
