THE EMPTY TOMB
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: SUNDAY 4 APRIL 2021
To have wept at feet of the Cross, grieved at the death, mourned at the graveside, and then to have met the Risen Christ must have been an indescribable joy. That joy is now ours. That same joy that greeted Mary Magdalene, when she came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. Alleluia, we’re joyful because Christ is risen and we have freedom. The empty tomb signifies freedom- freedom from the fetters of sin, death, evil and darkness of the world.
SCRIPTURE: Early on Sunday morning, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene came to the tomb and found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance, (John 20:1) NLT
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Rejoice and be joyful in the Lord for Christ is risen, Alleluia.
The weeping at the Cross, grieving at the death and the mourning at the graveyard could mean persecution in life, sorrowfulness, sadness, suffering, anguish, poverty, death, bondage, sin and evil darkness that have beclouded the world. But now by the reason of the resurrection of Christ Jesus and its inexplicable joy, we are enveloped with the power of freedom. We are now free from every sorrow, poverty, sin, death, darkness and evil bondage. Yes! We are free indeed. Alleluia!
Beloved, the tomb is there but it’s empty. Every thing that has posed a tomb, grave or difficulty in your life and destiny, God will empty them and set you free. As Christ has conquered death, so you shall be a conqueror in life, in the name of Jesus! Happy and Blessed Easter to you!
NOTE THIS: Rejoice and be joyful in the Lord for Christ is risen, Alleluia.
RESPONSIBILITY: Celebrate and dance for joy for Christ is risen.
PRAYER: O LORD JESUS, let the power of Your resurrection resuscitate everything that’s death in my life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: May Christ be risen in your life both now and forever, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
