STOP STARING AT YOUR PAST

Too many of us live somewhat in the past. We can’t stop thinking about what happened before, we hold them so close to our heart that it becomes too difficult for us to let go. But the truth of the matter is, the past isn’t real. Though it happened and existed, but it’s gone now. So, we must learn to come to the reality of the present and stop staring at the past. Any wonder, the Scripture encourages us in Ephesians 4:22-23, it says,
SCRIPTURE: Strip yourselves of your former nature.… And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude] (AMP).
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Beloved, note, the past was a part of who we are, but it doesn’t belong to us anymore. Whatever happened in the past, happened for a reason. It could shape us, teach us, and develop us. Yes, it’s great we remember our past, however, remembering it is only beneficial if we learn from it and leave it behind (Isaiah 43:18-19). Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Everything you think and feel about the past lives only in your mind– it doesn’t exist anywhere.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, stop staring at it and focus on the future ahead.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to stop staring at my past, and cause me to be constantly renewed in the Spirit of my mind, in Jesus’ name, Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)
PROPHETIC WORD: May the Lord give you a fresh mind and spiritual attitude, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
