Starting the Year With God (4)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Saturday, 11 January 2026
Topic: Starting the Year With God (4)
Focus: Building the Year on Prayer
🔥Theme:
How we begin matters. This devotional series focuses on starting the year intentionally with God at the center—not rushing ahead, but walking with Him from the very first step. These days will guide you to surrender your plans, seek God’s direction, and build the year on a foundation that will last. As you begin with God, you can move forward with confidence, peace, and purpose.
📖 Key Verse:
“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” — Psalm 127:1
Devotional:
Prayer is not something we fit into life—it is the foundation we build on. When prayer is central, the year stands strong. When prayer is neglected, everything else becomes heavier. Jesus often withdrew to pray before making decisions or stepping into ministry. If the Son of God depended on prayer, how much more do we need it?
📖 Scripture Reading:
- Matthew 6:6 — Meeting God in prayer
- Luke 5:16 — Jesus often withdrew to pray
- 1 Thessalonians 5:17 — Pray continually
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Prayer keeps us connected to God’s heart. It aligns our desires, calms our fears, and reminds us that we are not walking alone. A year built on prayer is a year built with God’s presence. You don’t need perfect words. You only need a willing heart. A praying heart keeps the year anchored in God. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🙏 Prayer is the foundation that holds everything together.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Set aside a regular time this year to pray—even if it is short and simple.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, teach me to build this year on prayer. Help me stay connected to You, depend on You daily, and seek You in every situation. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
This year is built on prayer. My life is anchored in God, and His presence guides me every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
