Starting the Year With God (2)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Friday, 9 January 2026
Topic: Starting the Year With God (2)
Focus: Committing Your Plans Into God’s Hands
🔥Theme:
How we begin matters. This devotional series focuses on starting the year intentionally with God at the center—not rushing ahead, but walking with Him from the very first step. These days will guide you to surrender your plans, seek God’s direction, and build the year on a foundation that will last. As you begin with God, you can move forward with confidence, peace, and purpose.
📖 Key Verse:
“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.” — Psalm 127:1
Devotional:
Planning is part of life, but control belongs to God. When we hold tightly to our plans, we often carry unnecessary pressure. God invites us to place our plans in His hands instead. Proverbs 16:3 says, “Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans.” Commitment is not just asking God to bless our plans—it is allowing Him to shape, adjust, or redirect them.
📖 Scripture Reading:
- Proverbs 16:3 — God establishes committed plans
- James 4:13–15 — Submitting plans to God’s will
- Psalm 37:5 — Commit your way to the Lord
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
When plans are committed to God, fear lessens and peace grows. You don’t have to worry about making every step perfect. God is able to guide what you surrender. The safest place for your plans is in God’s hands. Plans committed to God are guided by His wisdom and peace. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🧭 Surrendered plans lead to settled hearts.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Write down one plan for this year and consciously surrender it to God in prayer.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, I place my plans into Your hands. Shape them, guide them, and align them with Your will. I trust You to lead me in the right direction. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
My plans are committed to the Lord. He is establishing my steps and guiding my path this year. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
