SPIRITUAL INVESTMENT

Beloved, every other matter we have been dealing with is very important; but this matter of spiritual investment is so crucial, significant and fundamental to our Christian lives. It encompasses all other matters of life. Spiritual Investments, in fact, are considerably more valuable than any physical or financial investment we may engage in. It has to do with our spiritual health and wellbeing. So, how healthy our spiritual life is, would determine the health and wealth of our life, our businesses and careers.
SCRIPTURE: But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. (Matthew 6:20) BSB
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Spiritual investment does not only border on our spiritual wellbeing alone, but it’s also an eternal deposit we make of our lives for the kingdom of God. Any wonder, Jesus made a very clear statement on the priority of spiritual investments. Don’t keep hoarding for yourselves earthly treasures that can be stolen by thieves. Material wealth eventually rusts, decays, and loses its value. Instead, amass heavenly treasures for yourselves that cannot be stolen and will never rust, decay, or lose their value. For your heart will always pursue what you esteem as your treasure (Mt. 6:19-21).
So, the Scripture admonishes us, above all, to guard the affections of our heart, for they affect all that we are and would become. (Prov. 4:23). Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: How healthy our spiritual life is, would determine the health and wealth of our life, our businesses and careers.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, you must make sustainable efforts to invest in your spiritual life and well-being of your soul.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to invest effectively in my spiritual life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: Receive the grace to invest in your spiritual life, even as you take the things of the spirit so seriously, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
