If we must survive the times we are in, we must learn to cultivate a relationship, a very intimate relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. When we seek God with all of our hearts and minds, that is when we genuinely find Him. There must be a hunger and passion in us. God cannot be found by a casual, once-in-a-while pursuit. God cannot be found when we seek Him only during an emergency. No, He can only be found when we seek Him with all our hearts.

SCRIPTURE: You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:13) NIV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: A vibrant relationship with God is necessary to survive the times we are in and it is cultivated through a desperate desire for His presence.

The scripture talks about the safety of those that dwell in the secret place of the most high God (Psalms 91:1). This secret place is not a casual place. It is not a place we enter only on Sundays. It is not a place for the nonchalant believer. The times we are in is not the time that lazy and unserious believers will survive. These times call for a spiritual awakening. It is a time that those who do know their God will indeed be strong and do exploits (Daniel 11:32).

Beloved, God wants us even more than we want Him. He desires a relationship with us. That’s why scriptures say that He stands at the door of our heart and knocks, if you open up, He will come in and dine with us (Revelations 3:20). But there is a responsibility for us to open the door. We must give God our time, give Him our hearts, our attention and He will secure us from the dangers of our time. Stay Lifted!

NOTE THIS: A vibrant relationship with God is necessary to survive the times we are in and it is cultivated through a desperate desire for His presence.

RESPONSIBILITY: Make up your mind today to begin to seek God with all your heart and mind.

PRAYER: O LORD, empower me to seek you like I never have beginning today, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD: As you seek God, you shall find Him and He will establish you, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
