SEEDS OF HONOR (2)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: MONDAY, 2 AUGUST 2021
It has been established that any time we show honor we’re sowing a seed, and the honor we give away will always come back to us. We also recognize that the honor we pour on others will become the blessing that comes back to us, but with no honor there will be no blessing. Now let us explore on more values of honor.
SCRIPTURE: …It is more blessed to give than to receive. (Acts 20:35) ESV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Honor opens doors of favor. The level of honor we show others will be directly related to the level of favor we receive from God. If we’re stingy with our honor we’re depriving ourselves favor. When we’re generous with our honor all will go well with us (Acts 20:35). Honor commands blessing. When we honor God and others there’s a commanded blessing on our life (Deut. 28:1-2). This is to say that when we honor others, we’re scattering seeds of abundant blessing that would eventually grow to us.
Beloved, having known these values of honor, let’s not be too quick to judge and condemn people, but instead we should honor them. Let’s be generous with our compliments and stingy with our complain. Let’s sow the seed of honor to all. Stay Lifted!
NOTE THIS: The level of honor we show others will be directly related to the level of favor we receive from God.
RESPONSIBILITY: To show honor is to be favored. So, go ahead and sow plenty seeds of honor.
PRAYER: O LORD, put in me the grace for honor. Cause me to honor You and others, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: May God be gracious to you, may He reward you bountifully as you honor others, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: Deut 28:1-2, Acts 20:35
