It’s our utmost desire to love God, but we found that we often struggle in this quest. Sometimes we want to pray, but the moment we’re about to start, sleep comes in and blow us away. You have made up your mind to be more serious with the things of God, that’s when distraction will come knocking at your door. Too many things could resist our love for God, but we must stand to resist them.

SCRIPTURE: Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7) ESV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Whatever could resist your love for God, if it’s not checked, would resist your destiny.

Beloved, I don’t know what is resisting your love for God. Know it that whatever resists and fights our love for God is our enemy. And the chief scheme of the enemy is to steal, kill and to destroy (John 10:10).

But whatever it could be, you must do whatever it takes to put it to death. Love for God in our lives is the ultimate and cannot be over emphasized. We must put on the full armor of God, so that we can make our stand against the devil’s schemes (Eph 6:11). Stay Lifted!

NOTE THIS: Whatever could resist your love for God, if it’s not checked, would resist your destiny.

RESPONSIBILITY: Deliberately submit yourself to God always, and do not give the devil a foothold.

PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to resist whatever that will resist my love for You, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD: Receive the strength to resist anything that would resist your love for God, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
