REPLACE YOUR WORRIES WITH PRAYERS

TIMES OF REFRESHING

ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL by Obiorah Prince Emeka

DATE: WEDNESDAY 16 DECEMBER 2020

To lead a joyful and peaceful Christian life, it’s imperative that we let God preside over situations that are beyond our control. Worry is an expression of fear and lack of faith. The presence of worry in a person’s life is the absence of trust in God. Worry and trust do not coexist. When we invite worry in the front door of our lives, our trust will inevitably depart through the back door.

SCRIPTURE:

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers, (Philippians 4:6) TLB

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:

When we worry, we choose to believe the voice of circumstance over the voice of the Word.

Worry solves no problems. Worry is a sin! It’s the sin of unbelief. Satan is the father of worry and fear. Our worry breaks God’s heart. He told us not to worry about the things of life. He said that if He takes care of birds and flowers, which have a short life span, He will most certainly take care of us, (Matthew 6:25-26).

Beloved, the solution to the problem you face is already available. If God had known you before you were born, (Jeremiah 1:5), then the answer to your problem existed before the problem ever came into being! All you need to do is, don’t worry about anything, instead pray about everything.

If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus, (Phil. 4:7). Stay Lifted!

NOTE THIS:

When we worry, we choose to believe the voice of circumstance over the voice of the Word.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Cast all your worries, burdens and fears to the Lord, for He cares for you affectionately.

PRAYER:

O LORD, take away all my worries and give me your peace, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD:

May the peace of the LORD be upon you and yours, in the name of Jesus, Amen.

BIBLE TEXTS: Phill. 4:6-7, Jer. 1:5, Matt. 6:25-26.
