REBUILD, REPAIR, REVIVE: THE REVIVALIST’S BLUEPRINT (1)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Wednesday, 21 May 2025

Focus: Return to the Ruins

Message:

Every generation needs builders—revivalists who carry fire, vision, and burden. In a time when altars have been neglected, convictions watered down, and spiritual foundations broken, God is raising those who will return to the ruins and restore what has been lost. This devotional series is a call to action. Not just to weep—but to build. Not just to pray—but to repair. Not just to long for revival—but to carry it. So, beloved, you are the blueprint. Let’s rise—and rebuild.

📖 Key Verse:

Isaiah 58:12 – “Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations. You will be called the Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.”

Devotional:

Every revivalist must first be a realist—willing to look honestly at what’s been lost, broken, and buried. You can’t rebuild what you refuse to acknowledge has fallen. Before Nehemiah rebuilt the wall, he walked through the ruins by night (Nehemiah 2:13). He didn’t rush with excitement. He paused with burden. Revival begins when someone says, “This is not okay. Something must be rebuilt.” God is looking for those who will return to broken altars, who will weep over desolate places, and who won’t settle for the current condition of the Church, the culture, or their own soul.

📖 Scripture Reading:

Revelation 2:4–5 – “You have forsaken your first love… return and do the works you did at first.”

💧 Refreshing for the Day:

Beloved, you are not just called to admire what once was. You are called to be part of what will be. But rebuilding starts with returning. Returning to the ruins. Returning to the presence. Returning to the assignment. This isn’t a history lesson—it’s a holy summons. So, ask God to show you what ruins He’s calling you to rebuild. What has grown cold? What has been abandoned? What needs to be revived? Stay Refreshed!

Note This:

You can’t revive what you haven’t first grieved.

🛡️ Responsibilities:

  1. Spend time in prayer today asking: “Lord, where are the ruins?”
  2. Journal any personal, family, or generational areas where God is calling you to rebuild.

🙏 Prayer:

Father, awaken my heart to what’s been broken. Don’t let me grow numb to what You want to restore. Give me eyes to see the ruins—and the courage to rebuild. In Jesus’ name, Amen!

🔥 Prophetic Declaration:

I return to the ruins with fire in my heart! I will not look away—I will rise and rebuild! What has fallen will rise again by the Spirit of the Lord! In Jesus’ name, Amen!
