It is said that the taste of a dessert is in its eating, so also the life of a Christian is shown by the way he lives. We can’t claim to be Christians, the people of God and the carrier of the Holy Spirit, and it is not demonstrated in our actions, in our characters, and the way we live and relate with others. It is an error! So today, beloved, we are called and encouraged to prove who we are by the way we live.
SCRIPTURE: Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God. (Matthew 3:8) NLT
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: As Christians, we are called to more than mere words or religious activities, but for a change of behavior. Isn’t so awful and terrible that we have so many Christians spread all over the communities and societies, too many churches scattered everywhere yet, wickedness, evil, corruption, and nepotism are standing and walking on two legs in the world. As Christians, we are the light of the world and the salt of the earth (Mt 5:14-16).
Therefore, we must let the light shine, and disperse every darkness of evil. But then, we must let it shine in our lives first before others (Eph 5:8). If others can’t see our faith in the way we treat them, then we may not be God’s people at all. The people of Antioch saw the lives, and deeds of the believers and called them Christians (Acts 11:26), so, let us go back to the true core of our Christian belief, and let it show in our words and in our actions.
