O LORD, SAVE ME FROM MYSELF (2)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: THURSDAY, 6 JULY 2023
So, beloved, this subject is not just a mere instruction, it’s a prayer. A prayer for divine intervention. It’s a declaration of our total dependence on God and admission of inadequacy. In our own vulnerability, we echo these words, acknowledging our spiritual poverty and the longing for God’s intervention. Even amid our imperfections, God’s loving gaze remains upon us.
SCRIPTURE: The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. (Psalm 18:2 NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: “Oh Lord, save me from myself” is a proclamation of trust—a declaration that God alone is our ultimate source of rescue and redemption. True transformation begins when we recognize the limits of our own strength and wisdom, surrendering them into the hands of our loving Creator. When we surrender our self-reliance and place our hope in the Almighty, His intervention becomes our steadfast assurance. So, beloved, may your prayer forever be, “Oh Lord, save me from myself,” and may you find solace and deliverance in the loving arms of your Heavenly Father. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: When we surrender our self-reliance and place our hope in the Almighty, His intervention becomes our steadfast assurance.
RESPONSIBILITY: Once again, go to God in prayer and ask Him to save you from yourself.
PRAYER: Gracious Lord, help me to surrender my self-reliance and place my trust fully in Your unfailing love and grace. Guide me on the path of righteousness and lead me towards transformation, in Jesus’ name, Amen!
PROPHETIC WORD: As you surrender yourself to God, may you emerge from the darkness of self-reliance into the radiant of divine intervention, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: Psalm 18:2
