O LORD, ENLIGHTEN THE EYES OF MY HEART

There are God’s riches and His glorious inheritance embodied in and around us that can only be seen and understood when the eyes of our hearts are sincerely enlightened. This is so true, and also the reason why we could so pray and fasted, engaged in all kinds of spiritual activities, but we wouldn’t see the results and the answers to the prayers. This doesn’t mean that God is deaf to hear us, nor He is uncompassionating and so hardened to our numerous petitions, but it’s because the eyes of our hearts are yet to be enlightened. Any wonder apostle Paul wrote to the church in Ephesus and said to them,
SCRIPTURE: I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in His holy people, (Ephesians 1:18 NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: So, beloved, our earnest cry and sincere desire today is that God should enlighten the eyes of our hearts. Knowing that, until this body of truth becomes reality in our lives, we may never experience the true nature of our callings in Christ Jesus. Though, you have physical eyes that you use to see the world around you, but you also have spiritual eyes, or the “eyes of your heart,” that give you an awareness of spiritual things that are invisible to the natural eye. Those spiritual things are our “glorious inheritance”. So, I call on you to pray until this matter is settled in your life. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: There are God’s riches and His glorious inheritance embodied in and around us that can only be seen and understood when the eyes of our hearts are sincerely enlightened.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, go to God in prayers, ask Him to enlighten the eyes of your heart.
PRAYER: O LORD, enlighten the eyes of my heart. Cause me to see the wondrous things You have for me, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)
PROPHETIC WORD: As the Lord enlightens the eyes of your heart, may you begin to see the wondrous things He has for you, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
