Excuses have cost many great opportunities that would have ushered them into the next level of their lives. According to the oxford dictionary, an excuse is a reason or explanation given to justify a fault or an offence. Excuses are often either rooted in fear or laziness. Today, we must free our lives from excuses and decide to leap into action.
SCRIPTURE: But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said to him, ‘I have bought a field, and I must go out and see it. Please have me excused.’ (Luke 14:18) ESV.
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Excuses unnecessarily delay ones next level, so jump up now and begin to act. A person full of excuses is a person who will always remain stagnated.
Our anchor scripture when read in its fullness, describes the parable of a great feast that Jesus told his followers. A king had invited guests to his feast, but on the day of the feast, all of his invited guests began to make excuses to why they cannot attend the feast. This angered the king and so he instructed his servant to go and invite the poor, the lowly, the people standing on the streets and everyone he could find to the feast and at once, the feast was filled with people.
What the initially invited guests did not know was that a big banquet awaited them. Beloved, a feast of fat things waits at the end of your obedience to God’s instructions. A banquet of plenty where you are free to choose whatever you desire awaits you. So, get up, stop the excuses and begin to act. Stay Lifted.

Stop making excuses and begin to see possibilities.
PRAYER: O LORD, I am sorry for the time I have wasted making excuses, please help me to begin to act now, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: Receive the grace to live above excuses and begin to see possibilities, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
