MOVE BEYOND YOUR PAST
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: MONDAY 26 APRIL 2021
We can all look back and see times where we gave into temptation, when we conceded to sin, we compromised, we were messy and didn’t handle a situation the way we should. It’s easy to let that one moment witch-hunt our destiny, because the enemy and the accuser of brethren would always want you to go through life feeling condemned by that one moment. But that moment didn’t stop God’s plan in your life.
SCRIPTURE: Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing…(Isaiah 43:18-19) NIV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Every moment of failure in the past is just a season; move beyond it and don’t let it peg-down your purpose in life.
Beloved, you may have failed, but you are not a failure. If you go around wearing your past, it will keep you from the fullness of what God has in store for you. Sometimes people and circumstances will try to define you by your past, they will try to remind you all of the times you failed, the times you compromised, the times you didn’t measure up. But I counsel you, remain focused, don’t let what people say about your past put your back on the ground.
For it was written, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God”, (Luke 9:62). They don’t determine your destiny; they cannot stop what God has ordained for your life. The only one that can stop you is you. But if you move beyond your past, and refused to believe the lies from the accuser, you shall excel in life. Stay Lifted!
NOTE THIS: Every moment of failure in the past is just a season; move beyond it and don’t let it peg-down your purpose in life.
RESPONSIBILITY: Forget what is behind and strain towards what is ahead.
PRAYER: O LORD, I receive the grace to move beyond my past NOW, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: May God cause new and greater things to happen in your life, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
