MAKING THE RIGHT CHOICES IN YOUR LIFE (4)

Experience has shown that most of the mistakes people make in life was as a result of the wrong choices they made in the past. So, this gives rise to the statement; “A wrong choice a person makes today will amount to a failed future”. But we can avert it by making the right choices. So, another principle, we must engage in making right choices in life is ‘the placing of eternal value’.
SCRIPTURE: …then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, … As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD!” (Joshua 24:15 BSB)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Beloved, this principle poses and challenges us to prioritize the kingdom of God first in whatever choice or decision we would make. At this, we silently ask ourselves these honest questions; “Where is the place of God in this step I’m about to take”? “Does it have eternal value”? “Will it glorify God”? “Will people see God through it”? If the choice significantly answers ‘Yes’ to the above questions, you then go ahead with it. But if otherwise, back off it. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: No matter how wonderful a choice may be, if it does not have eternal value and recognizes the place of God in it, please forget it.
RESPONSIBILITY: Deliberately weigh every choice you have against this principle before you take a decision about it.
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to make and adopt the choice that has eternal value, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: As you make choices with eternal value, may you never ever regret it, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
