Learning to Rest in God (7)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Saturday, 27 December 2025
Topic: Learning to Rest in God (7)
Focus: Resting Fully in God’s Care
🔥Theme:
In a world that constantly demands more, God invites us to slow down and rest in Him. This devotional series explores what it truly means to stop striving, release our burdens, and trust God’s loving care. As you journey through these days, you will learn how to find peace in God’s presence, rest in His promises, and live from a place of calm confidence rather than pressure and exhaustion.
📖 Key Verse:
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
Devotional:
True rest is found when we stop worrying about what tomorrow holds and trust the One who holds tomorrow. God never intended for us to carry the weight of our lives alone. 1 Peter 5:7 tells us to cast all our cares on Him because He cares for us. This means God is personally concerned about every detail of your life. Nothing is too small or too heavy for Him.
📖 Scripture Reading:
• 1 Peter 5:7 — God cares for you.
• Psalm 55:22 — The Lord sustains those who trust Him.
• Matthew 6:34 — Trust God with today, not tomorrow.
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
Resting fully in God’s care means trusting Him even when answers are not immediate, paths are not clear, and outcomes are uncertain. It is choosing peace over pressure and faith over fear. You can rest because God is carrying what you once tried to carry alone. When you place your life in God’s hands, you can rest—because He is faithful. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🌿 Rest is trusting God with what you cannot control.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Release one worry to God today and choose to trust Him with it.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, I place my life, my worries, and my future in Your hands. Teach me to rest fully in Your care and trust Your loving guidance each day. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I rest in God’s care. My heart is at peace, my mind is calm, and my life is secure in Him. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
