Keep Me on the Potter’s Wheel (1)

Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional

Date: Sunday, 7 December 2025

Topic: Keep Me on the Potter’s Wheel (1)

Focus: The Potter’s Hands Never Let Go

________________________________________

🔥Theme: Surrendering to God’s Refining and Shaping Process

God is the Potter, and we are the clay. His desire is to shape our lives into vessels that reflect His purpose and glory. This theme invites us to surrender to His hands—even when the process feels slow, uncomfortable, or unclear. On the Potter’s wheel, God removes what doesn’t belong, restores what is broken, and forms us into something new. As long as we remain surrendered, His shaping continues and His character is formed in us.

📖 Key Verse:

“But the pot He was shaping from the clay was marred in his hands; so the potter formed it into another pot…” — Jeremiah 18:4

Devotional:

When God took Jeremiah to the potter’s house, the first thing he noticed was simple: the potter never removed his hands from the clay. Even when the vessel became flawed, even when it didn’t form correctly, the potter didn’t throw it away—he continued shaping. This is how God works with us. There will be moments when life feels messy, when mistakes seem too large, or when our progress feels slow. But God does not discard imperfect clay. He keeps His hands on us.

📖 Scripture Reading:

• Jeremiah 18:1–6 — God shapes His people like clay.

• Philippians 1:6 — He completes the work He starts.

• Isaiah 64:8 — We are the clay, He is the Potter.

💧 Refreshing for the Day:

Jeremiah 18:4 reminds us that the Potter can remake, reshape, and restore anything surrendered to His hands. Being on the wheel may feel uncomfortable, but it is where transformation happens. God’s hands are not harsh—they are healing. Not forceful—they are faithful. Not impatient—they are intentional. If you stay on the wheel, He will finish what He began. Stay Refreshed!
