JOY TO THE WORLD (1)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Wednesday, 18 December 2024
Focus: Good News of Great Joy
Advent is a season of joy, a time to celebrate the coming of Christ, who brings hope, salvation, and eternal joy to all people. When the angel announced the birth of Jesus, it wasn’t just for the shepherds in Bethlehem; it was for the whole world. The joy of Advent reminds us of God’s incredible love and His desire for everyone to experience the good news of salvation. As we reflect on this joy, may we embrace it in our hearts, share it with others, and proclaim the Savior who has come to rescue us.
The angel’s message to the shepherds on the night of Jesus’ birth was simple yet profound: “I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.” Jesus’ coming was not just another event in history; it was the fulfillment of God’s promise to bring salvation to the world. His birth is good news because it offers hope where there was hopelessness, light where there was darkness, and joy where there was sorrow. This joy is not dependent on circumstances but on the eternal truth of Christ’s presence and His love for us.

Luke 2:10 – “But the angel said to them, ‘Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people.'”
