IT’S SERVING YOUR DESTINY
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: FRIDAY, 27 AUGUST 2021
Many of the uncomfortable things we see in life today are serving our destiny: the betrayals, the disappointments, the opposition. Every glory you see today is a function of acute betrayal, unsolicited opposition and embellished difficulty. We need to understand this fact to grow in life. Knowing that as long as we’re in the world, oppositions, disappointments will come, but it gives us the advantage to absorb them when they come, and helps us to keep an open view whenever we experience them.
SCRIPTURE: It is the Lord who directs your life, for each step you take is ordained by God to bring you closer to your destiny. So much of your life, then, remains a mystery! (Proverbs 20:24) TPT
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: You can’t reach your destiny without disappointment and opposition. If Joseph’s brothers didn’t betray him, he wouldn’t have become the Prime Minister in Egypt (Gen 41).
Up till today, people condemn Judas for betraying Jesus, but in the real sense, we should be thanking him. Without the betrayal, we wouldn’t have salvation. Recall that part of the plan for Jesus’ life was to be crucified on the cross for the redemption of mankind, but before Jesus could be crucified and rise from the dead, he had to be betrayed, somebody had to that. It’s not a coincidence that Judas, one of his disciples decided to betray him. Judas didn’t come up with that on his own, but he was serving Jesus’ destiny.
So Beloved, why are you upset that someone betrayed you, and disappointed you? Why are you troubled that someone doesn’t love you? If everybody would have loved Jesus, if everyone would have celebrated Him, we wouldn’t have salvation. You have got to live to embrace it, it may be uncomfortable, but it’s serving your destiny. Stay Lifted!
NOTE THIS: You can’t reach your destiny without disappointment and opposition.
RESPONSIBILITY: As you continue to see difficulty in a new light, also live to embrace disappointment, and opposition, for it’s serving your destiny.
PRAYER: O LORD, turn every of my disappointments, oppositions for my good, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: May the Lord turn everything that’s come against for your good, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
BIBLE TEXTS: Prov 20:24, Gen 41
