TIMES OF REFRESHING

In pursuit of destiny fulfilment, there are factors that a person should grasp for a greater accomplishment. One of the factors is integrity. Integrity facilitates the fulfilment of destiny. And lack of integrity is an attack to destiny.

Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. It is the practice of being truthful and showing a consistent loyalty to strong moral, ethical principles and values. A man of integrity is a man of sound destiny.

SCRIPTURE:

Reuben, you are my firstborn…unstable as water, you shall not have pre-eminence, because you went up to your father’s bed; then you defiled it, (Genesis 49:3-4) ESV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:

Lack of integrity corrupts the value of destiny.

When a person is insincere, dishonest, fraudulent, murderous or does anything that defiles the conscience, he is corrupting the value of his destiny. So, the more corrupt a person’s life is, the more tarnished and corrupted his destiny, (Proverbs 11:3).

Our anchor scripture shows lack of integrity in Reuben’s life. He dishonored his father by sleeping with one of his father’s concubines, his birth right was given to the sons of his brother Joseph. For this reason, Reuben is not listed in the genealogical records as the firstborn son.

The integrity of men is measured by their conduct, not by their status.

Thoughts to note about Integrity;

     i.        Integrity is making sure that the things you say and the things you do are in alignment, (1 John 3:18)

ii.        People of integrity and honesty not only practice what they preach, they are what they preach, (John 17:17, Eph. 4:15).

iii.        If you value your integrity, then be prepared to take a beating from those who have none, (Galatians 4:16).

Beloved, no one is born with integrity. It’s a behavior-based virtue that anyone can develop over time. You can choose to show more integrity in your life by being obedience to God and His word, and doing the right thing in all circumstances. Stay Lifted.

NOTE THIS:

Lack of integrity corrupts the value of destiny.

RESPONSIBILITY:

Consciously begin to practice being truthful and honest in life.

PRAYER:

O LORD, decorate me with the virtue of integrity. Cause me to be truthful and honest at all times, in Jesus name, Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD:

I speak upon your life the grace for truthfulness and honesty NOW, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
