INSIST ON ME, HOLY GHOST, UNTIL I LOOK LIKE JESUS (8)
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional www.thefountspring.org
Date: Tuesday, 29 October 2024
Focus: Cultivating a Heart of Compassion
One of the most profound characteristics of Jesus is His deep compassion. He looked upon the crowds with love, reaching out to the lost, the broken, and the suffering. When we ask the Holy Ghost to insist on us, we invite Him to cultivate in us a heart that mirrors the compassion of Jesus. True compassion goes beyond words; it moves us to act, serve, and love those in need. The Spirit helps us see others through the eyes of Christ, enabling us to respond with kindness and grace.
Scripture Reading: “When He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.” — Matthew 9:36
Refreshing for the Day: So, beloved, today, ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with compassion for others. Look for opportunities to show love and kindness, especially to those who are hurting. Reflect at the end of the day on how the Spirit helped you reach out to others with the heart of Jesus. Stay Refreshed!
Note This: Compassion is love in action, and the Holy Spirit empowers us to love with the same tenderness as Jesus.
Responsibility: Who in your life needs your compassion today? How can you allow the Holy Spirit to help you see others through the eyes of Christ?
Prayer: Dear Holy Spirit, insist on me until my heart overflows with compassion like Jesus. Teach me to love others as He loves. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Prophetic Word: I declare that I will walk in the compassion of Christ, seeing others through the eyes of love and kindness, empowered by the Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
