HUMILITY: A FUNDAMENTAL KEY TO DIVINE UPLIFTMENT
TIMES OF REFRESHING
ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL by Obiorah Prince Emeka
DATE: MONDAY 7 SEPTEMBER 2020
Previously, it has been acknowledged that obedient to God is the swiftest way of provoking God’s lifting upon a man. Now, let us look at humility, a fundamental key to divine upliftment.
The greatest desire of every man on earth is to be great. People pray for God’s elevation in business, career and family. Indeed, God is still in the business of lifting His people. So, for one to be lifted in life, he needs to wear the cloth of humility.
St. Augustine wrote, “Humility is the foundation of all the other virtues hence, in the soul in which this virtue does not exist there cannot be any other virtue except in mere appearance”.
SCRIPTURE:
The Lord lifts up the humble… (Psalm 147:6) ESV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:
If humility does not precede all that we do, our efforts are fruitless.
Beloved, humility is all you need to succeed in life and to be considered for promotion. A humble heart is a candidate for God’s lifting. The humble enjoys wisdom, favor and guidance from the Lord, (Proverbs 11:2, 3:34). The Lord exalts the humble, (Matthew 23:12), and teaches him His way, (Psalm 25:9).
Humility catapults a man to greater heights he has never imagined to grasp in life. Beloved, do you wish to rise to greatness in life? Do you wish to be supernaturally lifted? Then pray for the grace for humility!
NOTE THIS:
If humility does not precede all that we do, our efforts are fruitless.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Put on humility if you seek divine upliftment.
PRAYER:
O LORD, help my life. Endow in me the virtue of humility, in Jesus’ name Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD:
May God lift you above every infirmity and elevate you in life, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
BIBLE TEXTS: Psalm 147:6; 25:9, Matthew 23:12, Proverbs 3:34
