HOW TO STAY OPEN TO NEW POSSIBILITIES

Yesterday, we learnt that staying open to new possibilities is discounting what we think is the best for us and accept the willingness to move forward into what God is about to do. And the reason for unnecessary redundancy in life is accounted for not staying open to new possibilities.

 

Today, we shall be looking at how can a person stay open to new possibilities.

 

SCRIPTURE:

Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”, (Matthew 19:26) NIV

 

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:

It takes an open mind to remain relevant and successful in life.

 

Have your ever imagined why some great men of God when they preached in the past, the power of God flows? But now when they speak nothing will happen. They applied same method of spiritual preparation that produced great result the last time, but did not this time. It is because they are not staying open to the new unction God has in store for them. They are stuck in what God used to do and it’s keeping them from what God is about to do. So, how can a person stay open to new possibilities?

 

i.             Be willing to make changes: If you’re going to be successful you have to continually be willing to make adjustments. Study what’s working and what’s not working. Sometimes what once was flourishing, what once had God’s favor and unction, will start to drag you down. You have to be sensitive enough to realize when a season is over.

 

ii.           Embrace new ideas: Some set of skills were working for you, and all of a sudden, it experienced a setback. Don’t just sit and watch it go down the rail. Acquire new ideas, skills on what to do to resuscitate it. 

 

iii.         Keep an open mind: Don’t hold on to what God is done with in your life. Always be sensitive in the spirit. Just because your friends left you doesn’t mean you are a bad person. That business collapsed doesn’t mean you are failure. Keep an open mind to when God is speaking and to understand what He is saying. God is not trying to make your life miserable. He’s trying to get you in position to receive a new level of his favor.

 

Beloved, are you still strategizing trying to make what happened yesterday happen today? I counsel you, stay open to new possibilities. Stay Lifted!

Go through today’s devotional once again, take note of the points mentioned and prayerfully makes demand for them into your life.

 

PRAYER:

O LORD, help my life, cause me to continually stay open to your leadings in my life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

 

PROPHETIC WORD:

As you stay open to possibilities, may God’s favor never depart from your life, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
