Hearing What Others Cannot Hear
Times Of Refreshing Daily Devotional
Date: Sunday, 7 June 2026
Topic: The Sound Before the Rain (1)
Focus: Hearing What Others Cannot Hear
🔥Theme:
Recognizing God’s signs and stirrings before breakthrough arrives.
📖 Key Verse:
“I hear the sound of abundance of rain.” — 1 Kings 18:41
Devotional:
Most people live by sight. God calls His people to live by faith. That is why Elijah could stand on Mount Carmel and confidently declare that rain was coming while everyone else saw nothing but a clear sky. He had learned to hear beyond circumstances. One of the greatest challenges in the Christian life is learning to trust what God says above what life looks like. Yes, this is true. Your circumstances may say nothing is changing. Your emotions may say nothing is happening. Your surroundings may say the drought is permanent. But God may already be speaking rain.
📖 Scripture Reading:
- 1 Kings 18:41 — The sound of abundance of rain
- John 10:27 — My sheep hear My voice
- 2 Corinthians 5:7 — Walk by faith, not by sight
💧 Refreshing for the Day:
The people around Elijah saw drought. Elijah heard abundance. The difference was not the environment. The difference was perception. God often reveals His intentions to those who stay close enough to hear His voice. Breakthrough is often heard before it is seen. Faith hears what heaven is saying before earth confirms it. Stay Refreshed!
✨ Note This:
🌧️ What God whispers today may become tomorrow’s testimony.
🛡️ Responsibility:
Spend time listening in prayer today. Do not only speak to God—make room to hear from Him.
🙏 Prayer:
Father, sharpen my spiritual ears. Help me hear Your voice above my fears, circumstances, and doubts. Teach me to recognize the sound of what You are preparing to do. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I hear the voice of God clearly. My faith is rising above what I see, and I am discerning the sound of coming breakthrough. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
🔥 Prophetic Declaration:
I am emerging into God’s appointed season. What He planted in my life will flourish. Every hidden season, every delay, and every trial has worked together for His purpose. I will bloom where God has planted me. In Jesus’ name, Amen!
