GOD LOVES YOU AND ACCEPTS YOU (2)

DATE: TUESDAY, 14 MARCH 2023

TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org

TOPIC: GOD LOVES YOU AND ACCEPTS YOU (2)

Beloved as we previously established, God’s love for us is not based on merit. We cannot work for it, it is not earned by our good deeds. God’s love is simply given and our responsibility is simply to accept it. Today I want to let you know that your circumstance is not a yardstick for measuring God’s love for you. When things are not going as expected, it is not an indication that God does not love you anymore or that His love for you has diminished. Let’s look at this Scripture from the book of Romans.

SCRIPTURE: For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8: 38-39 NIV)

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Dearly beloved, when you go through hard times, it does not mean God has changed His mind about you. Nothing can cause God to love you less. Yes, God hates sin, and He hates it when you sin, but sin does not make Him love you any less. He still wants you back. He wants you to repent and come back to Him. He still pursues you and knocks on the door of your heart (Rev 3:20). When you go through difficulties, it does not mean that God doesn’t love you anymore because of your sin. So my counsel to you today is, no matter what you go through, know in your heart that God loves you and He has not abandoned you. Stay Refreshed!

NOTE THIS: God’s love for you is not measured by your circumstances, He loves you despite it all.

RESPONSIBILITY: Even when the happenings around you tell you otherwise, remind yourself that God’s love for you is not measured by your situation.

PRAYER: Oh Lord, thank You for loving and accepting me. Help me to always know that you love me regardless of my circumstances, in Jesus’s name, Amen!

PROPHETIC WORD: May you know the love of the Father deep down and may the Lord cause you to rest in His love, in Jesus’ name, Amen.

BIBLE TEXTS: Romans 8:38-39, Revelations 3:20
