GET IN AGREEMENT WITH GOD

From creation, God has always sought to be in agreement with man. And until now, He seeks men whom He can get into agreement with, so He can pronounce His blessings upon them. There is a relationship between agreement and blessing. Agreement provokes God’s blessing. Before any blessing is pronounced, there had been an existing agreement. That’s to say that agreement enforces blessing. In Genesis 2:15-16, after God made Adam and Eve, He told them that as long as they keep His instruction of not eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they will be blessed.

SCRIPTURE: Can two walk together, unless they are agreed? (Amos 3:3) NKJV

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Genuine and sincere agreement can move the hands of God and establish one in life and destiny.

In 1 Samuel 1: 1-11, Hannah for several years was hoping she would have a child for her husband. The matter became worse as her co-wife was always mocking and intimidate her. One day as they went to Shiloh on their yearly prayer visit, Hannah in her prayers entered into an agreement with God, that if she is blessed by God with a child, she will in turn give the child back to God all the days of his life.

Hannah sincerely went into the agreement with God just to have a child. But unknown to her, God was already looking for a replacement for Prophet Eli, as his two sons had tarnished the honour of the priest of the Almighty. God immediately gave Hannah the boy named Samuel who soon became the High Priest. Following that, Hannah was blessed with five other children (1 Sam. 2:21).

Beloved, are you trusting God for anything or are you in lack of something you ought to have? Are you been mocked because of a particular issue or deficiency? Maybe you have prayed and prayed and nothing has happened? It could be that God is expecting you to get into agreement with Him. Just like Hannah, do same and see God blessing you. Stay Lifted!

RESPONSIBILITY: Get in agreement with God today. Make God an offer that He can’t resist.

PRAYER: O LORD, as I enter into agreement with You, cause a tremendous increase on every side in my life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)

PROPHETIC WORD: May God endorse your agreement with Him and favor you, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
