FINDING REST IN CHRIST (4)
TIMES OF REFRESHING ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: WEDNESDAY, 10 APRIL 2024
Successively, beloved, another great way you can find rest in Christ is to practice faith. Cultivate faith in God’s promises and His faithfulness (Heb. 11:1). Remember His past faithfulness in your life and trust that He will continue to sustain you through every trial and challenge. Yet again, learn to rest in the grace of God. Embrace the truth of God’s unmerited favor and grace in life. Recognize that you do not need to earn His love or approval but simply receive it as a gift.
SCRIPTURE: “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.” Isaiah 26:3-4 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Then grow to live in the present moment. Avoid dwelling on past regrets or worrying about the future (Matt 6:34). Instead, focus on living fully in the present moment, trusting that God is with you here and now, providing the strength and grace you need for each day. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: In your journey of seeking rest in Christ, remember that it is a deliberate choice to trust in God’s promises and to rest in His grace. It requires intentional practice and a steadfast commitment to believe in His faithfulness, even when circumstances may seem uncertain.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, as you navigate life’s challenges and uncertainties, I encourage you to anchor your faith firmly in God’s Word. Spend time in prayer and meditation, allowing His promises to permeate your heart and mind. Reflect on His past faithfulness in your life and let those memories serve as a foundation for your trust in Him today.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of Your promises and Your grace, which sustain us through every trial and challenge. Help us to intentionally practice faith in Your promises and to rest in Your grace each day. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
PROPHETIC WORD: May the Word of God be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path, guiding us in the way of truth and righteousness. In the name of Jesus, Amen!
