Yesterday, we learnt that enemies of destiny pose restrictions to one and deterred him from fulfilling his God ordained destiny. And their sole focus is to pull one away from becoming what God has destined for him. We saw how greed crippled the destiny of Gehazi and rendered his life and generation inconsequential.
Today, we shall look at disobedience, another deadly enemy of destiny that could destroy one’s destiny and future if not checked. Disobedient is an enemy that cripples and dislodges a man’s destiny and Gods purpose for his life.
SCRIPTURE:
But now your kingdom shall not endure… because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you. (1 Samuel 13:14) NIV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:
Disobedience to God equals calamity to destiny.
Many destinies had been aborted today due to disobedience to God. The cost of disobedience is disconnection from destiny. It costs one his earthly destiny and eternity with God. Disobedience to God is disastrous. It is loss of destiny and invokes the anger of God upon a man, (1 Sam. 13:14),
Adam and Eve disobeyed God and they lost their friendship with God, (Genesis 3). Not only that, the whole human race is paying the price of their disobedience till this day.
Beloved are there areas of your life you have disobeyed God? Ask Him to forgive you and make up your mind to obey Him from today.
NOTE THIS:
Disobedience to God equals calamity to destiny.
RESPONSIBILITY:
Carefully identify areas where you disobey God, and ask for His mercy.
PRAYER:
O LORD, I ask for forgiveness in any way I have disobeyed you. Give me the grace to obey you entirely, in Jesus’ name Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD:
I curse every spirit of disobedience in your life now, and plea the mercy of God upon your life, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
