Responsibilities weigh us down; the struggles of life, the hard times, the pressure of paying bills, even the effort of staying true to God. Too often we get discouraged and feel disheartened. But Jesus frees people from all these burdens. He offers us His yoke– a package of rest. And His yoke is easier than you think.
SCRIPTURE: Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light. (Mathew 11:28,30) NLT
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: In Christ Jesus, hopelessness and despondency are eliminated. Weariness toil and meaningless pursuit are turned into spiritual productivity and purpose.
Beloved, in what sense is Jesus’ yoke easier than you think? The yoke emphasizes the challenges, work and difficulties of partnering with Christ in life. It’s a shared yoke, with weight falling on bigger shoulder than yours. Jesus with more pulling power is up front helping. Suddenly, all your crushing needs, pressures, burdens are lifted, that ugly frown on your face is turned into a smile, and that groaning into a joyful song. Stay Lifted!

RESPONSIBILITY: Keep on trusting and honoring God in your life.
