It was established that many people toil at the place of prayer, and yet nothing significant could be made out of their lives. Today we will be looking at the key principles that could arrest this epidemic. It is “praying for the right cause”.

Every man has a unique identity in life. So, as unique as we are, there are positions we occupy in life and destiny. Identifying, occupying and thriving in our various positions should be our focal point of living, (3 John 1:2).

SCRIPTURE:

He moved on from there and dug another well, and no one quarreled over it. He named it Rehoboth, saying, “Now the LORD has given us room and we will flourish in the land.” (Genesis 26: 22)

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:

Discovering and digging on your rightful position brings you peace and makes you flourish

From the scriptural text above, in vs18, we found that Isaac reopened the well dug by his father Abraham, but the philistines opposed him. Until Isaac discovered his position in life and dug the well there, no one quarreled over it. He named it Rehoboth. We need to pray for the right cause. So, we don’t just dig, but digging the right well.

KEY PRINCIPLES TO KNOW

1.   Identify your true calling: One of the greatest challenges to the life of believers is digging the wrong well. No matter the energy you exert digging the wrong well, positive results may not be achieved.

2.   Know what to do: What is it that you are created to do in life? We need to tell ourselves the truth. You don’t do what everyone is doing. You do what you are created to do. No amount of prayer and fasting would make wrong place favorable for you.

PRAYER:

Oh God, help me not to strive in vain. Crown my efforts with success, in Jesus’ name, Amen! (Go ahead and begin to pray)

Receive the grace to soar in all that you do, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
