DON’T GIVE UP, PUT YOUR TRUST IN JESUS (2)
TIMES OF REFRESHING DAILY DEVOTIONAL www.thefountspring.org
DATE: THURSDAY, 22 AUGUST 2024
So, beloved, when you trust in Jesus, He promises to renew your strength. In moments of weakness and fatigue, He will uplift and empower you to keep moving forward. Life’s journey can often feel like a marathon rather than a sprint. There are times when our energy is depleted, our spirits are low, and the road ahead seems unbearably long. In such moments, the thought of continuing can feel impossible. Yet, it is precisely in these moments of exhaustion and weariness that the promise of Isaiah 40:31 becomes profoundly relevant.
SCRIPTURE: “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.” — Isaiah 40:31 (NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: The verse reminds us that those who hope in the Lord will find their strength renewed. But what does it mean to hope in the Lord? It means placing our trust, confidence, and expectation in God’s character, promises, and timing. It is an active, ongoing reliance on Him, not just in moments of crisis but in the day-to-day realities of life. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: When you trust in Jesus, He promises to renew your strength. In moments of weakness and fatigue, He will uplift and empower you to keep moving forward.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, beloved, whenever you feel drained, physically, emotionally, or spiritually, remember Isaiah 40:31. It’s an invitation to pause, realign your hope in the Lord, and draw from His inexhaustible strength.
PRAYER: Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You today acknowledging my need for Your strength. Help me to rise above my circumstances, just as the eagle soars above the storms. Grant me the endurance to run the race set before me without growing weary, and the perseverance to walk through each day without fainting. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
PROPHETIC WORD: As you trust in God and surrender your fears in Him, may He renew your strength and empower you and let His peace reign in your heart always. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
