DON’T GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS
TIMES OF REFRESHING
ONLINE DAILY DEVOTIONAL by Obiorah Prince Emeka
DATE: WEDNESDAY 2 DECEMBER 2020
It has always been the pleasure and delight of every person on earth to accomplish effectively every goals and aspirations he had set in life. And there is this sense of urgency and responsibility one feels in the course of pursuing those dreams. However, pressure and desperation set in when it seems that the time is short and our dreams are not forth coming. Many Christians have found themselves in this dilemma. They become disconcerted and confused. So, let us look at some biblical submission to harness the issue.
SCRIPTURE:
“Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.”, (Luke 5:5) NLT
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY:
Accomplishment is a product of determination and strong-willed to success.
From our anchor scripture, Peter and others had toiled all night, and didn’t catch any fish. They had lost hope and given up on their quest to bag some fishes home. And Jesus admonished Peter to out where it is deeper, and let down his nets to catch some fish, (vs 4).
Peter argued for a while. However, with the words of the Master, he launched his nets, but this time their nets were so full of fish and they began to tear. They shouted for help and their partners brought in the other boat, and soon both boats were filled with fish and on the verge of sinking, (vs 6-7). Beloved, I don’t know the dreams, goals, and vision you set for this year. Now we are in the very last month of the year, and it seems that they are far to be accomplished.
I counsel you to hear the word of Jesus, just as he spoke to Peter; He is saying to you now, “Don’t give up on your dreams”! He says in Jeremiah 32:27, “I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me? Just like Peter, be determined, muscle some faith in you. Hit to your chest and say “I am a child of the Most High God, I am a champion. Yes, the pandemic may have disrupted the year, but I am not letting it get in me. I must fulfil my dreams and accomplish my goals in grand style”. That’s the spirit, see you at the top. Congratulations and Stay Lifted!
NOTE THIS:
Accomplishment is a product of determination and strong-willed to success.
