DO NOT GROW COLD IN YOUR FAITH (3)

So, another pointer to help us overcome the trials and hard times, even as we make conscious efforts not to grow cold in our faith is to focus on the positive. This is a very powerful antidote for faithlessness. When times get tough, it’s easy to complain; sometimes, we become angry with God, or resent people who don’t share in our troubles. However, this will only keep us stuck where we are and affect our lives in a more devastating way.
SCRIPTURE: … But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it. (1 Cor. 10:13 NIV)
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: But when we focus on the positive, we choose to praise God for His blessings in our lives. We place our focus on Him and thank Him for His love and faithfulness. And as we do, we don’t only magnify the good, and thereby increasing our faith…but we also push out the bad, while we frustrate sadness and depression in our lives. Again, we must learn to always trust God when we don’t have the solutions. Stay Refreshed!
NOTE THIS: Every trial we go through in life gets us closer to God, while deepening our trust and confidence in Him.
RESPONSIBILITY: So, dear friend in Christ, decisively hold on to the faith we profess, for He who began the good work in you will carry it unto completion until the day of Jesus Christ (Phil 1:6).
PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to focus on the positive, and cause me never to grow cold in my faith, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and pray for other intentions as the Spirit leads)
PROPHETIC WORD: May you have the reason to always praise God in your life, and never grow cold in your trust and confidence in God, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
