DISCERNING AND BEING IN THE CENTER OF GOD’S WILL (2)

In the recent past, we said that it’s one thing to discover our purpose and the will of God for our life, and another to discern its place of manifestation. And this evidence borders around the reason why a place would favor a person and wouldn’t to another. So, as important as this maybe, we would quickly say that, if a place doesn’t favor a person, that doesn’t mean the place is awful or terrible. But it particularly means that the person’s purpose doesn’t find expression therein. Let’s look at the Word of God to Isaac in Genesis 26:3,

SCRIPTURE:  Stay in this land for a while, and I will be with you and will bless you. (Genesis 26:3 NIV)

REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Now there was a famine in the land. And Isaac went to Abimelek king of the Philistines in Gerar. But then there was abundant in Egypt, and Isaac was about to go to Egypt. But the Lord appeared to him and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land where I tell you to live (Gen 26:2). So, Isaac obeyed the Lord and stayed in Gerar. The Bible recorded that, Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him. He became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy (Vs.12-13).

Beloved, you see, where others failed, God caused Isaac to succeed. Even drought couldn’t stop the blessings of God. This was possible because Isaac discerned and remained in the center of God’s will for his life. Stay Refreshed!

RESPONSIBILITY: So, consciously pray to discover the purpose of God and His will for your life and ask for the grace to discern its place of manifestation.

PRAYER: O LORD, give me the grace to discover your purpose in my life and cause me to discern its place of manifestation, in Jesus’ name, Amen!

PROPHETIC WORD: As God is showing His purpose in your life, may He cause you to discern its place of manifestation, in the name of Jesus’ Amen!
