DELIGHT YOURSELF IN THE LORD

We all want God to do some great and amazing things in our lives, to give us the desires of our hearts, but we seldom don’t want to do what will trigger Him to do them. The truth is, God’s promises and blessings come with conditions that we must meet in our hearts. And until we begin to meet those conditions, we may never have access to those wonderful blessings. One of the guaranteed conditions and the things we must do to have God swiftly attend to the desires of our hearts is to delight ourselves in the Lord.
SCRIPTURE: Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4) ESV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: Having access to the desires our heart and taking delivery of them is a function of an unwavering delight in the Lord. In as much as we want God to give us the desires of our hearts, so much more God wants us to delight in Him. What does it mean to delight in the Lord? It means inclining our hearts to God, immersing our thoughts and everything about us in His Excellencies, devoting ourselves to the unending study of His Word.
Beloved, when you delight yourself in the Lord, you love what the Lord loves. You love the things that God loves. You want to do what God wants you to do. You want to go where God wants you to go. His Will and Desires become yours, you will stop at nothing until you please the Lord. And until then will God’s blessings and promises come upon you. Stay Lifted!

RESPONSIBILITY: Commit to delight in the Lord every day of your life.
PRAYER: O LORD, help my life. Give me the grace to delight in You, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
