As we journey through the passion of Christ and the way of salvation, there are profound truths we must know and put them straight in our lives. Every purpose has a conforming persecution. So, when you face one, take courage and know it had to be for you to accomplish your purpose.
SCRIPTURE: But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear their threats; do not be frightened. (1 Peter 3:14) NIV
REFRESHING FOR THE DAY: When you are accused, rejected or persecuted in life, take courage and know that this had to be for you to fulfil your purpose.
Just as the salvation of man has been destined to come through the death on the cross. And Jesus knew He was the sacrificial Lamb that would redeem mankind from the shackles of sin and its consequences, (John 3:16). So, when He was facing the salvific trial; as orchestrated by God, Pilate and the religious leaders posed boldly as the trial instruments. Pilate thought he was in charge of the trial and that he had the powers to crucify or save Jesus, (John 19:10), but he never knew it was really him and the religious leaders who were on trial, not Jesus.
In John 19:11, Jesus composed Himself even in the midst of persecution and said to Pilate, “you would have no power over me at all unless it were given to you from above”. Jesus was bold because He knew the truth; He knew God’s plan and He knew the reason for His trial. So beloved, despite the pressure and persecution you face in life, just like Jesus, be courageous and know that it had to be for you to fulfil your purpose on earth. Stay Lifted!
NOTE THIS: When you are accused, rejected or persecuted in life, take courage and know that this had to be for you to fulfil your purpose.
RESPONSIBILITY: Take courage, don’t be afraid. Be happy when you face persecution in life.
PRAYER: O LORD JESUS, as You go though the way of the cross, give me the grace to endure every persecution in my life, in the name of Jesus’ Amen! (Go ahead and continue to pray)
PROPHETIC WORD: May the passion and holy cross of Christ redeem you and yours, in the name of Jesus, Amen.
